Freeport Celebrates Christmas

This festive event includes the Fireman's parade, free hayrides, strolling Carolers, a great food court, gingerbread contest, Christmas Country Store and a whole lot more! Ticket for the House Tour, featuring three homes, can be purchased in advance at Freeport Foods and Red Rover Gift Baskets on Fifth Street or at the Freeport Library on Market Street. Tickets can also be purchased at the tour homes during the tour hours. Tickets for all three homes are just $10!

Saturday
Free hayrides throughout the day with pick-up at the Jr. High on 4th St.
9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. – Freeport Library Holiday Sale, Market St. – Beautiful

9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. – Breakfast with Santa, United Presbyterian Church,
High St.
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Food court - Jr. High Cafeteria, 4th St.
11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Miniature Train Display, Masonic Hall on 4th St.
11:30 a.m. – Friends of the Park Book Club reading at The Canvas Art Gallery
& Gifts, 320 5th St.
11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Christmas Country Store, Jr. High Cafeteria,
4th St. Proceeds benefit the FRA
12:00 noon-3:00 p.m. – Gingerbread house (or creation) contest, Jr. High Cafeteria, 4th St. – Entries should be dropped off at the Jr. High by 11 a.m.;
The public is invited to vote for their favorite entry.
1:00 – Firemen’s Parade – downtown
2:00 – Friends of the Park Book Club reading – The Canvas Art Gallery
& Gift Shop, 320 5th St.
5:00 – 8:00 p.m. – Christmas House Tour - $10 for 3 homes; Purchase tickets in advance at Freeport Food, Red Rover Gift Baskets or Freeport Library. Tickets may also be purchased at any of the homes during the tour hours. Homes on Tour: Harbison Residence – 301 High St., Furhman Homestead at the residence of Bill Girardi – 132 Washington St., and the Bowlin Residence in Laneville at 109 Main St. A shuttle bus will pick up is available at the Kindergarten Center on High St.
